Description/Job Summary

AgSouth Farm Credit, ACA is looking for a crop insurance agent to provide exceptional crop insurance sales and services to existing and new customers in their territory.The position is located in Madison, GA and the successful candidate will be expected to live within the area served.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Service new and existing customers for the Madison, Thomaston, Griffin, Carrollton, and Greenville locations.
  • Deliver effective crop insurance and life insurance services to existing and potential customers. 
  • Sell and service Crop Insurance products to farmers as needed. 
  • Assist in the development and completion of crop insurance sales plans. 
  • Maintain competence and an in-depth understanding of crop insurance products and procedures. 
  • Assist with obtaining policy information from insured’s for processing. 
  • Assist in cross sales of other AgSouth Farm Credit products through qualified referrals. 
  • Service and market existing customers.

Required Experience

One to three years of experience in the agriculture or crop insurance field.

Preferred Experience

Farming background is a plus.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in agriculture, finance, accounting, business, or economics

Details

  • Must obtain and maintain an insurance license for crop insurance sales and meet all State and Federal annual requirements.
  • Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
